DESCRIPTION:Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN)\, Kano\, will proudly host the Summit of the Future Step Down Workshop – Kano State on 14th August 2025 at the Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed Twin Lecture Theatre. \nThe workshop\, organized in collaboration with the United Nations Pact for the Future Step Down Consortium\, bringing together government leaders\, traditional rulers\, youth networks\, academia\, civil society\, and development partners to localize and drive the implementation of the United Nations Pact for the Future in Africa. \nDistinguished guests included: \n\nHis Excellency Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf – Executive Governor of Kano State\nHis Excellency Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo – Deputy Governor of Kano State\nMustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso – Commissioner for Youth and Sports\nHRH Muhammadu Sanusi Lamido – Emir of Kano\n\nThe event will feature technical sessions\, panel discussions\, and case studies on localizing global goals\, with a strong emphasis on youth empowerment\, sustainable development\, innovation\, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. \nThis initiative reaffirms MAAUN’s commitment to advancing education\, innovation\, and global partnerships that create meaningful change at both local and continental levels. \n📌 Together\, we are shaping a peaceful\, just\, and sustainable future for Africa.
