Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria has been officially listed among the world’s reputable universities with its inclusion in the newly released Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026.
This news was confirmed in an official communication from THE to the University’s Director of the Institute of Africa Higher Education Research and Innovations, Prof. Abubakar Sadiq Haruna.
The university has been awarded the distinguished status of “Reporter,” a recognition granted to institutions that have successfully undergone THE’s rigorous data submission process and formally recognized on the world stage.
Reacting to the development, the Founder and President of MAAUN, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, described the achievement as a historic moment for the university community.
