Nelson Mandela Senate Building

Named after Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, the South African anti-apartheid activist and politician who served as the first president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.

The building houses the founder’s office, Senate chamber, Institute of Africa Higher Education, Research & Innovations (IAHERI) and admissions office.

Thomas Sankara Presidential Building

Named after Thomas Isidore Noël Sankara, the revolutionarist, and Pan-Africanist who served as President of Burkina Faso from 1983 to his deposition  in 1987. 

The building accommodates the President’s office, the Vice-President Administration, Vice President Finance  and Director, Academic Planning & Quality Assurance.

Kwame Nkrumah Deanry Block

Named after Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the Ghanaian politician, political theorist, and revolutionarist. He was the first Prime Minister and President of Ghana, having led the Gold Coast to independence from Britain in 1957.

This building hosts the Vice President, Campus Life, Examinations office and the University clinic.

Murtala Ramat Muhammed Library

Named after the Murtala Ramat Muhammad, the Nigerian general who ruled over Nigeria from July 30, 1975 until his assassination on February 13, 1976.

Prof Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami - School of Computing Building

Named after Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami commonly known as Sheikh Pantami. He’s an Islamic cleric who is also the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy in Nigeria.

The structure features offices of the Dean, Departmental Chairs, faculties, Digital Economy Training Centre and lecture halls as well as software and hardware computer labs to enable students an interactive learning experience.

Atiku Abubakar School of Social & Management Sciences

Named after the former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON who served from 1999 to 2007.

The structure features offices of the Dean, Departmental Chairs, faculties and lecture halls, media demonstration room, and a world class studio to provide students with a comprehensive and practical learning experience. 

Aminu Alhassan Dantata - School of Health Sciences

Named after Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, a Nigerian businessman and philanthropist.

The complex features offices of the Dean, Departmental Chairs, faculties and lecture halls, medical lab, biochemistry lab, chemical pathology lab, histopathology lab, microbiology lab, hematology lab, physiotherapy gym/ demonstration rooms with the latest equipment to provide students with hands-on experience.

Rakietou Hassane Mossi - School of Nursing sciences

Named in memory of The Late Hassane Mossi who was a lecturer at MAAUN who passed away in 2022.

The ultra-modern building hosts offices of the Dean, Departmental Chairs, faculties and lecture halls, biology lab, chemistry lab, physics lab, anatomy & physiology lab, Nursing Demonstration rooms to support nursing education and provide students with hands-on experience.

Named after the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed 

The ultra-modern multi-purpose twin theater with 1000 seating capacity for lectures, seminar and conferences.

Access to academic buildings is by reservation only. The buildings are open Monday - Friday and closed on the weekends and Public Holidays.
