Matriculations

The matriculation ceremony at MAAUN is an important event that marks the official admission of new students into the university. It is a traditional ceremony that signifies the beginning of a new academic session and the start of a new phase in the lives of our students.

During the matriculation ceremony, new students are officially welcomed into the MAAUN community by the Vice-Chancellor and other university officials. They are required to take an oath of allegiance to the university and are presented with matriculation gowns and caps, which symbolize their admission into the academic community.

2nd Matriculation 2022/23

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Kano, has matriculated no fewer than 1, 200 newly admitted students for the 2022/2023 Academic Session. 
 
The Second Matriculation Ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, 5th April and Thursday, 6th April, 2023, was held at the Prof. Adamu Abubakar Rasheed Twin Lecture Theatre, where invited guests, including parents attended the event.

1st Matriculation 2021/22

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Kano, on Monday, 25th July 2022, matriculated over 500 newly admitted students for the 2021/2022 academic session.


The admission statistics show that MAAUN Kano is the only Private University out of the 111 existing private universities in Nigeria that started academic activities with about one thousand students at a go.
