The President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Musa Abdullahi Sufi, the Director General, Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo Foundation and a faculty member at MAAUN Niger and Nigeria on his 47th birthday.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement personally signed by Prof. Gwarzo and released to newsmen in Kano on Saturday.
“I wish to join your family, friends and associates in celebrating with you on this milestone,” Prof. Gwarzo said in the statement.
He described Dr. Sufi as an epitome of simplicity and scholarship who deserves to be celebrated at this auspicious occasion in view of his position as an innovative leader in education and development that includes mentoring youth and empowering women.
“I want to use this occasion to celebrate Dr. Sufi who is also the founder of Sufi Innovation and Development Solutions (SIDES) personality,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
He noted that Dr. Sufi who is a medical and public health geographer is well known for supporting the government, organisations and individuals towards effective delivery of development services to the right target groups especially poor and the poorest.
“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate you as you add another year to your age. May Allah in his infinite mercy grant you many more years in good health to enable you to continue mentoring youths and empowering women.
The celebrant is a development expert who works in Europe and several countries in Africa. As a media personality and freelance development journalist, he touches lives of many through various TV, radio, online and offline news outlets.
He also uses social media to promote unity and development as well as engage youth in imbibing the culture of effective and productive use of social media.
