Alpha 10 Fund Management Limited has commended Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Kano, for its commitment to academic excellence and quality higher education.
The company made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the university led by its Head of Business Development, Mr. Ero Ekundayo, on Tuesday.
Mr. Sani Bala, a senior official of Alpha 10, praised MAAUN’s efforts to expand access to higher education, particularly through the introduction of new academic programmes.
According to him, the programmes will provide more young people, especially in Northern Nigeria, with opportunities to acquire quality education and prepare for the future.
Mr. Bala said the visit was also to appreciate MAAUN for the warm reception extended to the company’s officials during previous engagements.
Also speaking, Mr. Ero Ekundayo disclosed that Alpha 10 would soon commence financial literacy training for MAAUN students and staff as part of the partnership between both institutions.
The training, he said, would equip students and staff with practical knowledge of financial management, investment and other opportunities available through the company.
Mr. Ekundayo invited MAAUN’s management to the unveiling of the company’s Kano regional office, expressing confidence that the university would be represented at the event.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Acting President, Prof. Ibrahim Alhaji Lawal, the Vice President Administration, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, reaffirmed MAAUN’s commitment to strengthening the partnership.
Dr. Habib appreciated Alpha 10 for its collaboration with the university, noting that the partnership would expose students to valuable financial knowledge and investment opportunities.
The visit was attended by the Vice President Campus Life, Dr. Kabir Abdullahi; Head of International Office, Engr. Bashir Garba, and other principal officers of the university.
