Lovely Professional University, India, has appointed the President of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr as “Honorary Adjunct Faculty” in the School of Mechanical Engineering of the University.
A statement by the University on Wednesday, 3rd May, 2023, said the notification of the appointment was conveyed to Prof. Israr in a letter signed by Dr. Namita Kaur, Additional Registrar, Lovely Professional University, India.
According to the letter, an Honorary Adjunct Faculty position is offered to the Subject Matter Experts in a specific field of knowledge to seek their expertise as a part-time engagement model for mutual benefits.
The appointment shall be for a period of 5 years commencing with immediate effect.
The statement noted that the appointment would not only facilitate strong ties between Lovely Professional University,India and Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, but would promote academic excellence between the two Universities as the appointee would be required to undertake teaching, joint programs, joint research, co-supervision of Ph.D, teaching and attending conferences.
