The Secretary-General of the Association of African Private Universities (AAPU), Prof. Abubakar Sadiq Haruna, has joined the entire Muslim community across the globe in the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Prof. Sadiq charged the fellow Muslims to use the festive season to pray, care, love, smile and celebrate with one another.
He appealed to all well-to-do individuals across the globe to emulate the Founder of MAAUN, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, in assisting the poor and the vulnerable on this important day in order to make their life easier and enjoyable.
Prof. Sadiq, who prayed for peace and tranquility to continue reign in our society and country at large, also cautioned Muslims, especially the youth, against involving themselves in acts capable of bringing the image of Islam to ridicule or disrepute.
“On this auspicious occasion of Eid, I would like to on behalf of AAPU family, celebrate all the Muslim community across the globe and pay gratitude to Allah for all the wonderful things in our lives. Eid Mubarak”, Prof. Sadiq said.
