Admission SCAM ALERT!!!

Dear all,

We have recently become aware of a scam in which some individuals (with phone numbers 08036640134) posing as agent or staff recruiting for MAAUN. These individuals are targeting victims using social media and asking them to complete a form, and then to make a payment of at least 100,000 Naira to 2 million Naira into their personal bank accounts.

We would like to alert everyone that this is a scam and that MAAUN is not recruiting through any third-party agents and our admission is currently closed till August 2023. 

We urge the public to exercise caution and to never provide personal information or make payments to unknown individuals.

Please note that we never take payments in personal account. All payments payable to us must be paid to our business bank account and not a personal account. 

If you have been approached by someone (online or in person) claiming to be an agent for MAAUN, please do not engage with them and report the incident to the Police, EFCC and the Social Media platforms. We take such matters seriously and are committed to ensuring the safety and security of our community.

  • Do NOT pay money to anyone claiming to be an agent or representative of MAAUN.
  • Do NOT share your personal or academic information with unauthorized individuals.

✅ Steps to Verify Admission Status and Enroll Safely:

  1. Visit Official Website: Always use MAAUN’s official website (www.maaun.edu.ng) for all admission-related activities.
  2. Use Admission Portal: Log in to the official MAAUN Admission Portal with your credentials to check your admission status.
  3. Confirm Admission Letter: Ensure that your admission letter has the official MAAUN letterhead and signature. And these will be obtained after you have applied online. If in doubt, contact the admission office for verification.
  4. Communicate through Official Channels: Always use official MAAUN email addresses (admission@maaun.edu.ng) or contact numbers for any inquiries or communications.
  5. Report Suspicious Activity: If you encounter any suspicious activity or receive dubious offers, please report it immediately to admission@maaun.edu.ng or call +234 802 365 8213/ +233 802 317 0586.
