I write to extend my heartfelt greetings and warm wishes to each member of the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria community.
Eid-Al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, is a powerful reminder of the values that unite us—faith, compassion, and the willingness to serve a cause greater than ourselves. It commemorates the unwavering devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and inspires us to reflect on our own commitments to family, community, and humanity.
At MAAUN, these values are not just celebrated—they are lived. Whether in the classroom, in research, or in service to society, our students and staff continue to demonstrate the spirit of sacrifice and unity that this holiday represents. On this sacred occasion, I encourage us all to:
• Embrace the spirit of giving, especially to those in need
• Strengthen the bonds of unity across our diverse university family
• Reflect on our purpose and renew our dedication to excellence
May this Eid bring peace to your hearts, joy to your families, and renewed strength to pursue your goals with integrity and purpose. Whether you are celebrating at home or on campus, know that you are part of a community that values and supports you.
The duty of a good student / employee is to always give his studies / work his best, and on the occasion of Eid, we wish Allah is always there to support you.
Let us carry the lessons of Eid-Al-Adha beyond the holiday—into our studies, our work, and our daily interactions.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful, safe, and spiritually fulfilling Eid.
