Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) is pleased to announce a special guest lecture on “Responsible AI for Generative Models: Designing for Responsibility,” presented by Aishwarya Verma, Program Manager, Responsible AI, Google and Laju Etchie, Community Manager, Google. The event will take place on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the MAAUN Twin Theater.

As artificial intelligence continues to advance, ensuring that AI models are designed and implemented responsibly has become a critical concern. This talk will explore the ethical considerations, challenges, and best practices in creating AI that aligns with societal values and benefits all users.

This event is divided into two sessions:

  • Group A: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Group B: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
