A facility verification team from the Nigerian Law School, Abuja, visited Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) on Tuesday to inspect the facilities established by the university at its School of Law.
The verification visit provided the team with the opportunity to assess the facilities at the School of Law.
The team, led by the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Prof. Isa Hayatu, was received by the President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, along with other management staff of the university.
In his welcome address, Prof. Gwarzo expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the team that the university would provide the needed support and cooperation for the success of the exercise.
He stated that the university would value and strictly adhere to all suggestions, advice, and recommendations made by the team following the assessment.
He emphasized that the university’s doors remain open to accommodate any suggestions and recommendations to ensure it operates within acceptable international standards.
In his remarks, the team leader, Prof. Isa Hayatu, stated that the team was at the university to assess all the facilities put in place at the School of Law.
While appreciating the management for the warm reception extended to the team, Prof. Hayatu assured that the assessment would be conducted fairly.
Other management staff present at the occasion included the Vice Chancellor of Franco-British International University (FBIU), Kaduna, Prof. Abdullahi Muhammad Sabo, Vice President Administration at MAAUN Kano, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, the Acting Director of Environmental Health, Dr. Abubakar Lawal Kankia, and several faculty members, among others.
