MAAUN, AbbaComms Sign MoU to Drive Innovation and Digital Transformation

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abba Communication and Innovation (AbbaComms) to advance innovation, communication, research, and digital transformation.

The MoU, signed virtually on Wednesday, aims to formalize cooperation between both organisations.

The partnership includes plans to co-host the AbbaComms Global Summit 2026 and promote stronger academic-industry partnerships across Africa and beyond.

In his remarks, the President of MAAUN, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, expressed appreciation to AbbaComms for partnering with the university.

He noted that MAAUN has signed several MoUs with universities, research centers, and government agencies, spread across over 30 countries globally.

He described the MoU as mutually beneficial to both institutions and valuable to the university community.

Also speaking, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AbbaComms, Associate Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abba Haruna, thanked MAAUN for the opportunity.

He emphasized the organisation’s mission to expand modern learning through innovation and advanced academic support.

The Director of Training and Thought Leadership at AbbaComms, Dr. Augustine Chioma Affam, expressed readiness to offer free AI training to MAAUN students as part of the collaboration.

The Head of MAAUN’s International Office, Engr. Bashir Garba, assured that MAAUN would work toward full implementation of the MoU to achieve its objectives.

In her vote of thanks, the Head of the Human Resource Unit, Hajia Maimuna Bello, commended all parties and pledged full support toward the successful execution of the partnership.
