MAAUN, Chandigarh Group of Colleges Organize International Conference on Business Management Research

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), in collaboration with Chandigarh Group of Colleges in Mohali, organized a two-day International Conference aimed at exploring contemporary trends in business management research.

The virtual conference, which provided a platform for insightful discussions and knowledge sharing among participants, took place on the 9th and 10th of January, 2025.

At the 5th International Conference hosted by the Chandigarh School of Business, the event featured a variety of papers presented by five faculty members from MAAUN.

The first paper was presented by Ass. Prof. Mahmoud Muktar Saidu, Dean, SMS MAAUN, who spoke extensively on finance and taxation.

The paper explored the relationship between finance and taxation, while at the same time addressing current challenges and opportunities within this important business sector.

Also, in his paper, Dr. Ibrahim Garba Muhammad, from the Department of Business Administration, Human Resource Management, highlighted innovative strategies and best practices in managing human capital, emphasizing the importance of effective HR practices in enhancing organizational performance and employee satisfaction.

On his part, Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Maje took the stage to discuss elaborately on operation and supply chain management.

His presentation delved into the complexities of supply chain dynamics and operational efficiency, while offering valuable insights into how organizations can optimize their processes to achieve competitive advantage in today’s business environment.

In the series of presentations, Dr. Mukhtar Salisu Abubakar also explored the role of data analytics in informing business decisions, showcasing how organizations can leverage data to drive strategic initiatives and improve overall performance.

The last paper was delivered by Dr. Zahra Adam, who concluded the presentations with her insights on Marketing Management and Entrepreneurship.

Dr. Zahra examined the contemporary marketing strategies and the entrepreneurial mindset necessary for success in today’s competitive business landscape.
