Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chandigarh Group of Colleges as part of continuous effort to foster academic and cultural ties between the two institutions.
The virtual event not only aimed to promote the academic and intellectual development of the parties involved but also marked a significant step towards enhancing the centuries-old relationship between Nigeria and India.
Other aspects of the MoU include provisions for student mobility programs, opportunities for progression into postgraduate programs, exchange programs for faculty and research staff, as well as joint workshops, conferences, and publications.
Other areas of collaboration discussed and agreed upon included cultural exchange, funding resources for exchange students as well as terms and conditions for termination of the MoU.
Prof.(Dr.) Mohammad Israr, President of MAAUN, signed the document on behalf of his university, while on the other hand, Mr. Arsh Dhaliwal counter-signed the document on behalf of Chandigarh Group of Colleges.
Other management staff members of MAAUN that witnessed the event were the Vice President Administration, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, Head of International Office, Engr. Bashir Garba and Hayatuddeen Muhammad Abdallah from the Corporate Communications Unit of the university.
