The Management of MAAUN Group of Universities has condoled with the Director Founder’s Office, Dr. Aliyu Abubakar Mirnga over the passing of his father, Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf.
Aged over 90 years, the elder statesman died on Saturday in Mirnga town, Biu local government area of Borno State following a protracted illness.
In a condolence message on Saturday in Kano, the President and Founder of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo extended his deepest condolences to Dr. Mirnga and the entire family of the deceased.
“The death of a father, mother or loved ones is always painful. Please take solace in the fact that Baba had lived a fulfilled and purposeful life,” he said.
Prof. Gwarzo described the death of Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf as a great loss not only to his immediate family but to the entire Mirnga community, Biu local government and Borno State.
“I was shocked to hear the news about the death of our father, Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf who passed away at the age of over 90 years. May the Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.
“On behalf of the MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his family. May the Almighty Allah give the family the courage to bear the irreparable loss,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
He also used the occasion to condole with the Mirnga community as well as the entire people of Biu over the demise of the elder statesman.
The deceased had since been buried in Mirnga town in accordance with the Islamic rites.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and Aljannah Firdaus be his permanent abode, ameen.
