As part of renewed effort to expose students to become self-reliant after graduation, Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) on Monday hosted an inspiring expert session with Fuad Abubakar Mohammed, Managing Director of Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company based in London.
The lecture session with the theme, From Local Lecture Halls to Global Boardrooms- How to Build a Career Without Limits, was attended by both staff and students of the university.
Mr. Fuad spoke at length on the numerous opportunities available to students with an entrepreneurial mindset, while also providing valuable tips on how to access and leverage these opportunities during their time in school.
The program which aimed at providing the participants with entrepreneurial skills, was a unique opportunity for students to learn from a leader who has navigated the path from academia to global leadership.
In his opening remarks, the President of the university, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr said the program would give students and other participants the opportunity to gain knowledge, expand their horizons, and network with an exceptional global leader.
He, therefore, charged students to make the best use of the golden opportunity to enable them to build a career in life.
