MAAUN Hosts Indian, Pakistani Muslims Association to a grand Reception

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) has hosted members of the Indian and Pakistani Muslim Associations to a grand reception as part of activities to commemorate the recent Eid-el-Ftr celebration.

The event, tagged “Eid Mubarak” and held at the Ibrahim Usman Yakasai Sports Complex, was attended by members of the associations, including their spouses and children.

Also in attendance were the President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, President of MAAUN, Kano, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, Head, International Office, Engr. Bashir Garba and a faculty member, Dr. Sameera Hassan.

In his opening remarks, the President of the MAAUN Group, Prof. Gwarzo, appreciated the leadership of the associations for attending the reception.

According to him, MAAUN, being the second-best private university in Nigeria, will continue to support the promotion of quality education in Nigeria and beyond.

Prof. Gwarzo noted that MAAUN brings together students from across the globe into a thriving academic community where diversity meets excellence.

He said the university has international students from no fewer than 13 countries across the globe including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, China, Syria, Palestine, Sudan, Chad, Niger Republic, Lebanon, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia.

In their separate remarks, the leaders of the associations appreciated the Founder of the university, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, for his unwavering commitment to providing quality education in the institution.

They described MAAUN as the ultimate hub for international students, hence the reason why expatriates resident in Kano State are choosing MAAUN for their children.

According to them, the university has world-class facilities, experienced faculty, and a vibrant campus life that makes them always feel at home.
