MAAUN Hosts students to Special Iftar (Breaking of the Fast)

The Founder and Chairman Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Kano, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has hosted students living in the hostels to a special Iftar dinner (breaking of the fast) in the University campus.

The event which was coordinated by Campus Life Directorate of the University, took place in three consecutive days (Monday to Wednesday) at the University cafeteria.

In his remark, Prof. Gwarzo said that the idea behind organizing the Iftar by the University is to express gratitude and thankfulness to Almighty Allah for the blessings of Ramadan and strengthen the relationship between students, lecturers and the management staff of the University.

He urged all those in attendance to propagate the message of peace and love toward one another especially now that the students enrollment is increasing.

Prof. Gwarzo prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to shower His blessings on the University to sustain the current peaceful coexistence among the entire university community.

Some of the students who spoke at the occasion, expressed appreciation to the University Management for organizing the grand Iftar.

They noted that the singular initiative will go a long way toward strengthening relationships between students, lecturers as well the Management staff.

The event had in attendance some Management staff of the University including the President, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, Vice President Administration, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, Director Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, Dr. Nura A. Yaro, Vice President Campus Life, Dr. Hamza Garba and Vice President Finance, Dr. Dauda Abdulrazaq Kayode, among others.
