On 10th December 2025, the MAAUN Law Clinic joined Amnesty International’s global Write for Rights campaign held at the Kano State Library. The annual campaign brings together human rights defenders across the world to advocate for justice and stand in solidarity with individuals whose rights are at risk.
A delegation of students from the Senator Oluremi Tinubu School of Law represented the Clinic at this year’s event.
They actively participated in key advocacy activities, including:
Writing a petition calling for the release of a man from Madagascar whose case was spotlighted by Amnesty International.
Drafting a formal letter to Amnesty International executives, urging urgent intervention and support for the affected individual.
The engagement was insightful, inspiring, and aligned with the MAAUN Kano Law Clinic’s commitment to promoting human rights, strengthening legal awareness, and advancing public interest service.
