MAAUN, MECIN train Student Leaders on Leadership, Civic Rights, Digital Ethics

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria in partnership with MECIN Consult Ltd hosted a one-day leadership training session aimed at enhancing the capacity of young leaders and class representatives.

The program focused on leadership ethics, responsibility, civic rights, and digital awareness, equipping students with the skills needed to lead with integrity both within the university and in the wider community.

In his opening remarks, the President of MAAUN praised Dr. Khadijah Sanusi Gumbi for her innovative efforts in initiating programs that foster student leadership.

The event was organized by MECIN Consult, Smart Aid Initiative, and Da Hausa Initiative.

A total of 48 student leaders engaged in practical discussions and interactive activities centered on accountability, ethical decision-making, and civic participation.

The training aimed to demonstrate how youth leadership can serve as a catalyst for promoting integrity and driving positive societal change.

Participants during the session, gained insights into leadership qualities and developed greater confidence and dedication to taking on leadership roles.
