MAAUN Mourns Death of Business Icon, Bature Abdul’aziz

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), has extended its heartfelt condolences to the family of late business mogul, Alhaji Bature Abdul’aziz, who died on Saturday following a brief illness

In a condolence message on Sunday by the Founder of the university, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, described the passing of the late businessman as a monumental loss to the country.

“Late Alhaji Bature Abdul’aziz was a friend of the university as he was among the top members of the business community that graced the maiden convocation of MAAUN in December 2025,” Prof. Gwarzo said.

Prof. Gwarzo described the late Abdul’aziz as a patriotic and courageous personality who was committed to promoting peace, unity and national stability.

“The deceased was not only a well known businessman, but a prominent community leader who was committed to promoting peaceful co-existence, and national stability. His death has really sent shockwaves to the business community and the entire country,” he said.

Prof. Gwarzo also extended his heartfelt condolences to the members of the National Patriotic Elders Forum for Peace and Unity as well as the entire Kano business community over the great loss.

He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the departed elder statesman and grants him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.

“May He also give the deceased family, friends and relatives the courage to bear the great loss,” he added.
