MAAUN Mourns Ex- Kano Finance Commissioner, Prof.Kabiru Dandago, Condoles Family, Kano Govt

Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of late Prof. Kabiru Isa Dandago, who died on Wednesday at the Malam Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital following a brief illness.

A statement on Thursday by the President, MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, described the passing of the former Kano Finance Commissioner as a great loss not only to his immediate family but the entire academic community.

“Innalillihi Wainna Ilaihirrajuun. We lost one of our own brilliant brains, Professor Kabir Isa Dandago. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.

“On behalf of MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to convey our heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, associates and friends of the former commissioner and renowned academic,” Prof. Gwarzo said.

He also commiserated with the government and people of Kano State over the huge loss, describing late Prof. Dandago as a great academic per excellence whose contributions to the education sector could not be quantified.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to reward him with Jannatul Firdaus and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Late Prof. Dandago was a renowned Professor of Accountancy at Bayero University Kano. He was Dean, Faculty of Social and Management Sciences as well as chairman, BUK Consultancy Services Unit.
