The African Institute for Solutions and Development (AISD) at Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Kano, officially inaugurated its research team for a landmark pilot study on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
The study, titled “Prevalence, Effects, and Mitigation of the Incidence of Vulnerable Out-of-School Children in Kano State, Nigeria,” seeks to address one of the region’s most pressing socio-educational challenges. The project will explore the root causes, societal impact, and potential policy interventions to reduce the number of children out of school in Kano State.
The inauguration ceremony marked a significant milestone for AISD as a research-driven institute focused on providing data-backed solutions to Africa’s developmental issues. The research team comprises experienced academics, education specialists, and community development experts, committed to generating actionable insights that can shape inclusive educational reforms.
