Morgan State University in the United States of America, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Vice President Administration, Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, over the passing of his father, Alhaji Awais Abubakar.
The Condolence message was contained in a letter signed by Prof. Hakeem Tijani, the Executive Director, Office of the Global Partnership Africa, a division of the International Affairs Office of the university.
The letter was coveyed to Dr. Habib through the founder and President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo on Monday.
In the letter, Prof. Tijani also commiserated with Prof. Gwarzo, university community and entire family of Dr. Habib over the great loss.
“Dear Professor Adamu Gwarzo and Dr. Awais: Condolence Letter from the Morgan State University Family Today, I announced the untimely death of the patriarch of the Awais family, Kano at the division meeting.
“Iam therefore conveying our condolences to you, and the entire Awais family on the death of the father of Dr. Awais, the Registrar and Vice President, MAAUN.
The Office of Global Partnerships-Africa is particularly saddened by this bereavement, but gives thanks to God for a life well lived,” the letter read in part.
Prof. Tijani prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljannah Firdaus and comfort the entire Awais family during this grieving moment.
“We solemnly pray that Almighty Allah will comfort the family, and repose the soul of Alhaji Awais,” the letter concluded.
