NSAP honors Prof. Gwarzo for contribution to development of education

The Nigerian Society for Animal Production (NSAP), Federal University Dutsin-ma, Katsina State has presented an Award of Excellence to the Founder of Maryam Abacha American Universities of Nigeria and Niger, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, in recognition of his tremendous contributions towards the development of education in Nigeria.

The award was presented at the opening ceremony of the 48th Conference of the association held on Monday, 19th June, 2023 at Munaj Event Centre, Katsina state.

Prof. Gwarzo, who served as the chairman of the occasion, was ably represented by the Vice President Campus Life, Dr. Hamza Garba, who received the award on his behalf.

While reading recitation, the society described Prof. Gwarzo as an icon of humanitarian service and embodiment of knowledge, who is dedicated to giving education the necessary attention it deserves for the benefits of society.

Part of the activities lined up for the event included book launching, where two books and a journal were launched at the occasion.

In his remarks, Prof. Gwarzo expressed gratitude to the society for considering him worthy of the award, while donating 1million Naira for the book launch.

The books launched were Livestock Industry Contribution of the Nigerian Society for Animal Production, Guide to Breed of Cattle, Sheep, Goats and Camels in Nigeria and Nigerian Journal of Animal Production.
