Prof. Gwarzo, two others support Ugandan VP at a groundbreaking ceremony

The President of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo on Friday in Uganda supported the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, Major (Rtd) Jessica Alupo in laying the foundation stone for the construction of Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Students’ Hostel at Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU) main campus located in Mbale.

The Ugandan Vice President was the Chief Guest at the occasion which took place on Friday, 8th December, 2023.

Prof. Gwarzo was one of the three distinguished Nigerians that had the privilege and singular opportunity to participate at the groundbreaking ceremony during the 32nd Graduation Ceremony at the University.

The other two other distinguished Nigerians that were chosen to participate in laying of the Foundation Stone were the former Chief of Army Staff, Retired Lieutenant-General Tukur Burutai and Vice Chancellor of Al’Istiqama University, Sumaila, Kano State, Prof. Salisu Shehu.

The MAAUN delegation and other Nigerians that attended the graduation ceremony at the IUIU had the opportunity of visiting the university main Mosque at the Main Campus in Mbale where they had their Friday Prayer.

During the visit, the delegation was also treated to a lavish dinner by the university management in honour of the distinguished international delegates who attended the graduation ceremony from other countries across the globe.

In addition, the MAAUN delegation before returning to Nigeria, had the opportunity of touring some important places like the Sipi Falls and Source of the Nile.

The MAAUN delegation had since returned to Nigeria.
