As part of its internationalization agenda, Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) on Tuesday signed an agreement with Krirk University in Thailand on educational, cultural, and research cooperation.
The agreement, which was signed virtually by officials from both institutions, seeks to establish a mutually beneficial relationship across various fields and disciplines with a view to strengthening the bond between the institutions.
Key areas of the collaboration include faculty and students exchange programs, which will enable students from both institutions to spend part of their studies at the partner university.
Additionally, faculty members will have opportunities for teaching and research exchanges, thereby promoting academic excellence and fostering cultural exchange between the partner universities.
The partnership also outlines plans for collaboration on joint research projects, seminars, conferences, and book publishing initiatives.
As part of the MoU, high-performing Bachelor’s students will have access to scholarship opportunities which will go along way in enhancing their educational experiences significantly.
In his remarks, President Prof.(Dr.) Mohammad Israr of MAAUN highlighted other areas of interest to include sharing of academic resources such as e-libraries, remote and physical laboratories, and other academic materials.
Also speaking, the Vice President for International Affairs, Krirk University, Prof. Dr. Jaran Maluleem, expressed commitment to ensuring full implementation of the partnership.
This comprehensive agreement underscores the shared commitment of MAAUN and Krirk University to foster strong academic and cultural ties, creating a dynamic and enriching environment for both students and faculty.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, Vice President Administration, MAAUN, and Dr. Chanidapha Nunualvuttiwong, Director of International Affairs, Krirk University.
