The President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has extended his condolences to one of the good friends of MAAUN, Alhaji Abba Najib over the demise of his father, Alhaji Najib Eliyas Khoury.
Aged 79, Alhaji Najib Eliyas Khoury passed away on Wednesday, 25th December, 2024, after a protracted illness.
In a condolence message on Thursday, Prof. Gwarzo expressed deep shock over the passing away of the deceased who was a traditional title holder of Wamban Kaugama in Jigawa State.
He described the death of the traditional title holder as a great loss not only to his immediate family, but to the entire Kaugama community.
Prof. Gwarzo who commiserated with Alhaji Najib, prayed to Almighty Allah to comfort the entire family of the deceased during this grieving period and give them the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
“On behalf of the Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, I wish to extend our condolences to the bereaved family, ” Prof. Gwarzo said.
He also prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased and admit him to the highest level of AlJannah.
The deceased, who left behind one wife, six children and 10 grandchildren, had since been buried in accordance with the Islamic rites.
