The Founder and President of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo has extended his deepest condolences to the family of the famous Malian musician, Amadou Bagayoko who died on Friday.
Bagayoko died in Bamako, Mali at the age of 70 following a protracted illness.
The condolence message was conveyed in a statement personally signed by Prof. Gwarzo and issued to newsmen on Saturday in Kano, Nigeria.
“It’s with a heavy heart I write to condole the family of the famous Malian singer, Amadou Bagayoko who died on Friday.
“On behalf of my family and Management of MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and associates of the deceased,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
He also extended his condolences to the government and people of Mali over the passing of the singer praying to God to forgive his shortcomings.
“I also wish to extend my condolences to the Government and people of Mali over the great loss,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
He noted that the late Guitarist and singer Amadou Bagayoko will continue to be remembered for his tremendous contribution to the music world, especially the traditional Malian music.
He prayed to God to give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
