Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria hosted an expert session on Artificial Intelligence on Friday, aiming to educate participants, especially students, about how AI is transforming various aspects of human life.

The session, titled “The Future of Public Speaking: How AI is Revolutionizing Presentation Skills,” focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence and public speaking.

During his presentation, Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Auwal, Founder and Director of the Zaitun Daawah Institute, USA, discussed how AI is transforming everything by enabling humans to think more freely.

He elaborated on how AI tools are changing the way people communicate, enhancing and transforming presentations in ways never seen before.

The event was attended by university staff, students, government functionaries, and invited guests from all walks of life within and outside Kano State.

Earlier, the President of MAAUN, Prof. (Dr) Mohammad Israr, stressed the need for the lecture, saying it would enable students to develop presentation and communication skills by everaging AI-driven solutions.

He urged the participants to embrace the new technological revolution and unlock new potentials for expression, creativity, and impact.

In his remarks, Dr. Habib Awais, the Vice President Administration, praised the speaker for thoroughly addressing the topic.

He noted that AI is here to stay and that everyone must embrace it or risk being left behind, as the world moves towards technology-driven advancement.

The lecture also featured an engaging discussion on the ethical concerns surrounding the use of AI in creating religious scriptures and academic writings.

In their separate remarks, many participants supported using AI to make human work easier.

On the other hand, some scholars warned about the risks of misusing AI and stressed the importance of using it responsibly.
