The Chief Executive Officer, Damat & Sons Global Limited, Mr. Abdullahi Shuaibu, on Monday, paid a courtesy visit to Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria where he unveiled the company’s latest innovation code- named “SINNTS MOBILE”.

Mr. Shuaibu and his team, who were received on arrival by the President, MAAUN Group of universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, expressed deepest gratitude for the warm reception accorded them.


In his remarks, Mr. Shuaibu said SINNTS MOBILE is a new APP developed by the company with one of the world’s biggest collections of ideas.

According to him, the new technological innovation was created out of the growing need to provide an alternative medium of communication controlled by a northerner with a view to finding a lasting solution to Nigeria’s socio-economic problems.

The team further explained that the new social platform, which will be launched in April, is a user-friendly application which MAAUN staff and students could easily navigate to make their online experiences exciting.

Mr. Shuaibu who explained the importance of shifting away from the global technology platforms to the locally developed ones, said they would ensure greater control of contents.

He noted that young people play a pivotal role when given a chance in steering the wheel of a country to greater heights.

In his remark, Prof. Gwarzo lauded the team for their wonderful innovation, pointing out that innovation, research and development have always been the watchwords of MAAUN.

He assured the team of his readiness to do everything within his powers to see to the development of the new platform.

He expressed commitment to promoting creativity and research culture among the Nigerian youth in particular and Africans in general.

He said considering the strategic position of MAAUN Niger with a community of more than 25 thousand people, the university will be a potential users of the app when launched.

Prof. Gwarzo stressed the need for the government and the well-to-do individuals to imbibe the culture of harnessing talents of indigenous Africans so as to build the future of Africa.

He tasked Africans to venture into the sector of creativity in order to compete favorably with their foreign counterparts in the field of information and communication technology for the development of the region.

He thanked the team for the visit and called for the full presentation of the new social media platform after its launch.
