Fidelity Pension Company pledges prompt payment of pension to Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) Kano staff after retirement

The Fidelity Pension Company has assured the non-academic staff of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Kano, prompt payment of their pension saying they will start getting their pension within three to four weeks of retirement.

The Kano Zonal Manager of Fidelity Pension Limited, Mr. Imam Ayuba, gave the assurance while briefing the staff about the operations of the company on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022.

Ayuba, who expressed appreciation to the Management of the University for choosing Fidelity as their pension administrators, also disclosed that the staff of the University would enjoy special treatment because of the long-term relationship the institution has with the Fidelity Bank.

He said the benefits would include Additional Voluntary Contribution, where staff in active service may choose to keep extra money with the pension company and withdraw it with his/her benefits after a period of two years.

Ayuba, who took time to explain the processes involved in pension activities, stressed the need to register with pension companies for easy access and safety of their contributions.

Earlier before addressing the staff members, the Zonal Manager had briefed the management of the University on the operations of the pension company.

Those present at the occasion were the President of MAAUN, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, Vice President Administration, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar and Vice President Finance, Mr. Abdulrazaq Kayode, among others
