MAAUN lauds Prof. Sheshe for impressive strides in developing AKTH

 

The Founder and Chairman Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo has commended the Chief Medical Director of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH), Prof. Abdulrahman Abba Sheshe for his impressive strides in developing the hospital.

Prof. Gwarzo made the commendation at the Orientation Program of Foreign Graduate Training for Medical Laboratory Scientist Program at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital on Monday, 17th July, 2023.

Prof. Gwarzo who doubles as the President of Association of African Private Universities (AAPU), commended AKTH Boss for doing his best to ensure that the hospital is developed.

He charged the students trainees, some of whom are graduates of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger- Maradi to do their best in order to acquire the academic and practical training.

Prof. Gwarzo announced a donation of N2 million in support of the foreign graduate students who would undergo the retraining program.

In his remark, the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Prof. Abdulrahman Abba Sheshe described Prof. Gwarzo as a pacesetter for single handedly establishing four international universities equipped with state of the art facilities.

Prof. Sheshe, who congratulated the students for being lucky to be part of the training program, urged them to study hard to learn practical aspects of what they learnt in the classroom.

Earlier in his remark, Coordinator of the training, Dr. Surajo Kazaure said the foreign graduate retraining was aimed at ensuring that the students who received training outside the country operate on the same frequency with their counterparts in Nigeria.

Top MAAUN management staff that attended the program include President of the University, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, Vice Chancellor of Franco-British University Kaduna, Prof. Abdullahi Muhammad Sabo and Vice President Administration, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar and Vice President Campus Life, Dr. Hamza Garba.
