MAAUN Students Celebrate International Breast Cancer Month in colours.

The students of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria have participated in a one-day sensitization and fun-walk program to celebrate this year\’s International Breast Cancer Month aimed at creating community awareness and promoting woman\’s access to timely diagnoses and treatment of the disease.

The event, which was organised by Societal Healthcare Organization (SHO) in partnership with Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo Foundation (AAG-Foundation) and other organisations, is celebrated every October annually.

During the occasion, MAAUN students expressed satisfaction for being part of the historic event which they said they learnt a lot about breast cancer and how they can assist in reducing the menace.

The students pledged to contribute their own quota towards saving innocent lives by spreading the messages across the globe through their various social media handlles and networks.

Important dignitaries that graced the occasion include, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, traditional title holders, students, health workers, top government functionaries, politicians as well as other stakeholders.
