Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) on Tuesday, 18th July, 2023, treated its Freshmen to a lavish “Matriculation Dinner” where the newly admitted students and all the management staff dined together.
During the dinner, some prominent Artists/singers were also at hand to add color to the occasion which was held at the Afficent Event Centre at Magaji Rumfa road.
Among the Artists that entertained the audience during the dinner include Ado Gwanja, Ali Jita, Auta Waziri, Namenj, Nura M. Inuwa and Umar M. Sharif
Earlier in his short remarks, the Founder and Chairman Governing Council of the University, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo said the decision to organize the dinner was informed by the desire of the University management to honor the Freshmen (Newly admitted students).
He said the invited Artists were also invited to entertain the Freshmen as well as all the invited personalities that graced the occasion.
He, however, charged the new students to make the best use of their stay in the University by facing their studies with seriousness to enable them realize their dream.
In a closing remark on behalf of the students, a student of Software Engineering from Pakistani, Hasnain Raza commended the Founder and other management staff of the University for organizing the special dinner.
Among the management staff that attended the dinner were President of the University, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr, Vice President Administration, Dr. Habib Awais Abubakar, Director Academic Planning and Quality Assurance and Vice President Campus Life, Dr. Hamza Garba.
Also in attendance were the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Franco-British International University, Kaduna, Prof. Abdullahi Muhammad Sabo, Director, Linkages and Collaboration, Dr. Bala Mohammed Tukur and Vice President Administration, MAAUN- Maradi, Dr. Shu’aibu Usman Tanko and Mr. Dauda Abdulrazaq Kayode of the Finance Unit of the University.
