The Board of Trustees of Group of Maryam Abacha American Universities, has approved the appointment of Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo as the President of MAAUN Group of universities.
A statement issued on Wednesday, said MAAUN Group of Universities comprised Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria and Niger as well as Franco British International University (FBIU), Kaduna and Canadian University of Nigeria (CUN), Abuja.
Until his new appointment, Prof. Gwarzo was the Chairman Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria.
With the new appointment, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo is now the President, Group of Maryam Abacha American Universities with its headquarters in Maryam Abacha American University of Niger.
According to the statement, a new Chairman Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), would be appointed at a later date.
The four universities, Maryam Abacha American University of Niger and Nigeria, Franco-British International University, Kaduna and Canadian University of Nigeria, Abuja were founded by Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo.
“We wish the new President, MAAUN Group of Universities Allah’s guidance and protection in all his undertakings,” the statement said.
