The President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has bid the outgoing French ambassador to Nigeria, Ms Emmanuelle Blatmann farewell after completing her tour of duty in Nigeria.
The farewell message was contained in a statement personally signed by Prof. Gwarzo and made available to newsmen on Saturday.
He commended the outgoing envoy for her efforts in cementing the bilateral relationships existing between Nigeria and France during her official duty tour in Nigeria for a little over two years.
“On behalf of Maryam Abacha University of Niger and Nigeria, I will like to commend you for your exceptional commitment to promoting the relationship between Nigeria and France,” Prof. Gwarzo was quoted as saying in the statement.
Prof. Gwarzo further lauded the outgoing envoy for exhibiting a high sense of responsibility throughout her stay in Nigeria.
He also commended the outgoing envoy for her country’s interventions in Nigeria ranging from economic, cultural, security and humanitarian.
Prof. Gwarzo wished Ms Blattmann well as she assumed duty as Director for Africa at the foreign ministry in France and commended President Emmanuel Macron for giving her the appointment.
