Prof. Gwarzo Mourns Reps Member, Ekene Abubakar Adams

The Founder and President MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo has expressed deep shock over the sudden death of a member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Ekene Abubakar Adams.

Adams who was representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday in Abuja at the age of 39.

In a condolence message he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Kano on Wednesday, Prof. Gwarzo expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of the young Sport Administrator and politician.

According to him, the death of Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams was a great loss not only to his immediate family, but to his colleagues at green chamber as well as his constituency and the entire Kaduna State.

“Because of the love he had in the sport, he was given the position of reps committee chairman on sports despite the fact that he was a first timer in the House,” he said.

Prof. Gwarzo, described the late Ekene Abubakar Adams as a committed and hard-working lawmaker who contributed immensely to the development of sports, his constituency, Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.

While consoling his family, constituents, the government and people of Kaduna State over the loss, Prof. Gwarzo prayed to God to console his parents and family and give them the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
