The Nigerian Hunter and Forest Security Service (NHFSS) has appointed the Founder and Chairman Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, (MAAUN), Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, as its patron at an event held in his MAAUN Nigeria, Kano office, on Tuesday, 11th July, 2023.
The Kano State Command of the NHFSS on behalf of the Commander General, Amb. Osatumehin Joshua, presented the patronship certificate to Prof. Gwarzo who is also the Founder and Chairman Board of Trustees of Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo Foundation (AAG Foundation).
In his remarks, the Kano State Commander, Abdullahi Al-Ameen who was accompanied by some officers, appreciated the Prof. Gwarzo for his contribution to the development of education in Nigeria and beyond.
Al-Ameen, who spoke at length on the history of the organization and the support the Founder has been giving to humanity and to the NHFSS through the Foundation, Prayed to Almighty Allah to replenish his wealth.
Mr. Al-Ameen said, “Sir (Prof Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo), after looking at your contribution to national development especially in education and integrated development that includes supporting us with various office furniture, security gadgets and training among others, we feel we have nothing to appreciate you than to nominate you as the national patron.”
He continues “And we are looking forward to receiving more of your guidance in making Kano to join other states that have gone far and even the national level for the success of achieving security in our forest and our communities.
“The Commander General extends his greetings and appreciation for your support to us and the general public while looking forward to receiving you in Abuja.” Al-Ameen said.
Ibrahim Bala Aboki, Commander Crime and Investigation said, “As hunters Sir, we are ready and committed to continue providing our support wherever and whenever is applicable. We are proud of you”.
Rabi’u Ahmad Kanti (Sarki Rabe Bichi) Commander intelligent, National Headquarters said, “We are joining all other stakeholders to appreciate your contribution to education and development in Africa. These Universities mean so much as they are making Nigeria and Africa great. We pray may almighty Allah continue to support, protect and guide you”.
In his remark, Prof. Gwarzo thanked the NFHSS for the honor and pledged to work closely with the organization to continue his laudable contributions to the socio-economic development of the less-privileged in the society.
Other officials from the State and National headquarters that accompanied the State Commander to the visit include Ibrahim Bala Aboki, Commander Crime and Investigation, Rabi’u Ahmad Kanti (Sarki Rabe Bichi), Commander intelligent National Headquarters and Sani Haruna Bichi, Assistant Commander Operations, Kano State Command, among others.
